Kāhala, is a neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaii. Kahala is famous as an icon for wealth and the rich. It is famous in Hawai'i for its large concentration of expensive real estate and beachfront properties, which include some of the most expensive in the entire state. Kahala is also home to the Kahala Hotel & Resort, formerly known as the Kahala Mandarin Oriental, and prior the Kahala Hilton. Also located along the borders are Kahala Mall, and Diamond Head crater.

Residents and owners are a mix of old timers living in older residences (many for more than half a century) and newer arrivals living in large, expensive, mansion-like homes. Many celebrities and business moguls have also bought vacation homes in the area. Kahala is a favored spot for investors to buy and fix old homes and sell for record-breaking prices. In 2019, typical prices for a tear-down house in Kahala was $3 million to $5 million, with beachfront land going for $8mm.

Kahala is one of the few areas of Honolulu to be fairly flat, and yet also be within 5 – 15 minutes' drive of Waikiki or downtown. When you set foot onto this gorgeous stretch of beach, you won't even know you're just four miles from Waikiki. It is quiet and peaceful, with plenty of space for sunning, picnics, or throwing a Frisbee. The grassy park area is extensive, and the beach, although narrow in some parts, winds around the coast for quite a ways.

Kahala is a wealthy area of Honolulu, and the road leading to this tranquil beach park is lined with flowers on both sides. There is a canal that divides the park and beach into two sides, connected by a bridge. The park features a huge grassy area on either side of the canal with picnic tables, benches, a sidewalk that winds along the canal, and an abundance of shade and palm trees. To the left, there's a row of picnic tables under a trellised "roof," which is covered with vines and foliage and creates a picturesque, beachfront pavilion.
